Sunday, April 5: Open on Easter.
Mondays in April: Alan Sensei teaches jo and bokken.
Tuesday, April 7: Family Day in the Youth Program. Parents and siblings age seven and up can join us for practice. It’s a chance for the students to show what they are learning.
Saturday, April 11: Demonstration at the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco. Our stage time is 2:30pm – 3pm at 1840 Sutter Street, and we suggest showing up early so you have time to settle in.
Sunday, April 12: November promotes to 1st kyu. The promotion takes place during the regular class (students showing up at 12:30pm and guests by 1:15pm).
Sunday, April 19: Mat cleaning. We will show up at the usual time (12:30pm) and do a brief scrub before practice. Eco-friendly spray and towels will be there.
Sunday, April 26: Ronn promotes to 1st kyu. The promotion takes place during the regular class. Then a dojo member is hosting a party for the group. We’ll send details by email.
Mondays in May: Azzia Sensei teaches jo and bokken.
Sunday, May 17: Elise promotes to 3rd kyu. The promotion takes place during the regular class (students showing up at 12:30pm and guests by 1:15pm).
Monday, May 25: Open on Memorial Day.
Sunday, May 31: Meal at Picante after class. It’s a chance to enjoy delicious food and drink and get to know each other.
All Month in June: New students train free. We offer four classes a week and if you attend six or more during the free month, we will gift you a uniform upon registration afterwards.

June – August: The youth program is open all summer with a regular schedule.
Monday, September 7: Open on Labor Day.
Sunday, September 13: Dean promotes to 1st dan. The promotion takes place during the regular class (students showing up at 12:30pm and guests by 1:15pm).
Sunday, September 27: Martha promotes to 1st dan. The promotion takes place during the regular class (students showing up at 12:30pm and guests by 1:15pm).
Monday, October 12: Open on Indigenous Peoples Day.
Sunday, October 18: Zoe promotes to 1st kyu. The promotion takes place during the regular class (students showing up at 12:30pm and guests by 1:15pm).
Tuesday, November 24 and Thursday, November 26: Youth class is closed for Thanksgiving week.
Friday, November 27: Open the day after Thanksgiving.
Tuesday, December 15: Last class before winter break.
Sunday, December 27: We return to a regular schedule.
